Survived the Front Page of Reddit
December 02, 2006Someone posted the article Software Project Disaster Types: #2 The Death March to reddit.com this morning, and it spent a good part of Saturday on the front page. Through mid-afternoon it got about 3,500 page views.
My software stack had no trouble with the traffic, despite running on a shared server. My framework, Fiche, the H2 Database and Jetty didn't even breathe hard.
This was a bit unexpected as the article was more than a week old, but it shows you the power of the internet to reach an audience.
